Automatic Voltage Regulator AVR Circuit Diagram AEC42-7 is a half-wave phase controlled thyristor type Automatic Voltage Regulator and forms part of the excitation system for a brushless generator.

    I have a MEP004A generator and when you flash the field it puts 28 volts on the F+ and F- and blows the SCR’s in some AVR’s will you AVR stand up to the 28 volt surge.
