What to do if the engine shakes?

The jitter of the engine during work is mainly caused by improper support, except for factors such as improper fuel injection of the engine, abnormal operation of each cylinder, and loose wear and tear of various parts.

  1. The engine mount is broken.
  2. Engine mount fixing bolts are loose.
  3. The engine mount buffer pad is invalid or falls off.
  4. Improper engine mounting position makes the transmission part different from the axis.

Diagnosis and treatment methods

  • Diagnosing the vibration of the engine can be judged by combining with the sound. For the engine started in place, if there is no obvious abnormal noise and shaking, it means that the support is not firm. Carefully check whether the suspension is broken, whether the fixing bolts are loose, whether the buffer pad is damaged or falling off, and repair it in time.
  • If there is no vibration when the engine is started on the spot, but there is vibration after the drive axle is set up and running in gear, it means that the deviation of the coaxiality of the transmission part is too large, and it is necessary to check whether the suspension is displaced. The inspection method is: while erecting the drive axle, loosen the engine fixing bolts, start the engine to run, and observe whether the engine mount oscillates Adjustment.
  • If there is abnormal noise after the engine is started on the spot, and the color of the exhaust smoke is not correct, it should be eliminated according to the improper fuel injection timing, uneven fuel supply of each cylinder and individual cylinders not working.
  • For engines that have been used for a long time or work in harsh environments, if the abnormal noise is obvious, it should be inspected and dealt with depending on the degree of looseness of each part.
  • For vehicles that have just been repaired, consider whether the vehicle shakes due to the failure of dynamic balance.
